giffgaff
giffgaff is a popular choice, named Network of the Year in 2018 by Uswitch. This is a virtual network which runs on O2, and offers cost-effective SIM-only contract deals for customers on a tight budget.
Plusnet
Plusnet leverages EE’s 4G network to bring fast data to 99 percent of the UK. The Roam Like at Home plan lets you use your standard monthly allowance in 40+ countries across the EU. Smart caps prevent users from exceeding a certain price limit, which is great if you have a poor credit history and want to avoid debt.
Virgin Mobile
Virgin Mobile utilizes EE’s network for fast 4G coverage and adds unused data from one month to the next to avoid waste. Messaging across Facebook Messenger, Twitter, and WhatsApp doesn’t count towards data usage.
Lebara Mobile
This network’s SIM-only deals include usage caps and there are no credit checks. It’s another solid option for bad credit score phones.
